The Bible Church first started our mission work in Cambodia in 2013 by sending our home-grown missionary couple, Tuck Weng and Lian See, to Prey Veng for mission. They partnered with Love Cambodia, an NGO started by the local Church, to do Children Outreach Ministry in the villages.

Through conducting the Feeding program and teaching Bible stories, they ministered to 200 kindergarten children in six villages. The ministry then expanded to have Children Sunday school, Kid’s clubs and English classes, serving an additional 100 older children. In 2016, TBC built a new kindergarten at Kampong Sleng village, and started a house church group there through our outreach ministry.

The Village ministry was suspended during the COVID years, but now we have resumed the ministry to continue serving 300 over children at ten villages. The Village ministry has also led to development of the Youths Discipleship Ministry at our home, when two youths from Prey Kla village first came to stay with us in Prey Veng town to study at the high school. We had subsequent batches of village youths, whom we provided accommodation, food and tuition support, and had English classes and weekly devotions with them.

The first batch of 7 youths accepted Christ and was baptized in 2015. Up to end-2023, six batches consisting of 50 students have graduated from our discipleship program, out of which 35 of them accepted Christ and got baptized. Of those who graduated, some selected ones stayed on to study in the Prey Veng University, and get further trained in the Bible and ministry skills to serve with our ministry team in the Children and Youths ministry.
